Privacy Policy

MRDN Connect is a Google Workspace conferencing add-on published by MRDN Labs ("we", "us"). It lets a member of our organization attach an MRDN Labs video meeting to a Google Calendar event as an alternative to Google Meet.

The add-on is distributed for internal use only — it is installed by our Workspace administrator and made available solely to users within our own organization. It is not offered to the general public, and we do not create accounts for people outside our Workspace.

To do its one job — placing a meeting link on a calendar event — the add-on accesses the following through Google APIs, only after you authorize it:

• Your basic Google profile and email address, used to identify the meeting organizer and participants.
• The Google Calendar event you are editing — its conference data, and the attendee list — so the meeting link can be written to that event.

We do not read the contents of calendar events beyond what is needed to attach and manage the conferencing link, and we do not access Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.

Google user data is used only to provide and improve the conferencing feature you invoke — specifically to create a video meeting room, write its join details to your calendar event, and reflect changes when the event is rescheduled or cancelled.

We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not sell it or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

MRDN Connect's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access, use, store, and share Google user data only as described in this policy and only to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the add-on's interface.

The video meetings themselves are hosted by our conferencing provider (Daily), which processes room and participant metadata solely to run the call on our behalf under its own terms and privacy commitments. No Google user data beyond what is required to schedule and join a meeting is shared with this provider.

We do not otherwise disclose your information, except where required to comply with law or to protect our rights.

We retain the minimum data needed to keep a scheduled meeting working — for example, the mapping between a calendar event and its meeting room — for as long as that meeting is active, and we delete it when the event is removed or the add-on is uninstalled from our Workspace.

Meeting recordings, if any are made, are governed by our internal retention practices and are accessible only to authorized members of our organization.

Access to Google user data is protected by OAuth and is limited to the scopes you approve. Data in transit is encrypted using industry-standard TLS, and access to any stored data is restricted to the systems and personnel that operate the add-on.

You may revoke the add-on's access at any time from your Google Account's security settings (Third-party apps & services), and our administrator can uninstall the add-on for the organization. Revoking access stops all further data processing; existing calendar events keep any links already written to them until they are edited or deleted.

We may update this policy as the add-on evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continued use of the add-on after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
