Before chasing rankings, get the fundamentals right: a crawlable site, a clear title and description on every page, fast pages, and content that answers a real query. Most ranking problems trace back to one of these.
A simple checklist
- Every page has a unique, descriptive
<title>and meta description. - Pages are reachable by internal links — no orphans.
- Structured data is present where it helps (Organization, Breadcrumb, Article).
- The sitemap lists every indexable URL.
